once i have written this review i am going to email taryn expressing my love for this zine!
on the cover it says "is taryn really this self-absorbed?" and the answer is definitely YES. but the negative connotations of being self-absorbed should be ignored here. taryn writes so wonderfully about herself and her life that i feel as if i have met somebody new. those are my favourite zines: the ones where i have made a friend without them knowing.
the first thing i noticed was this extremely cute little zine which is tucked into a small envelope behind the first page. the main zine is thick and text heavy. taryn includes virtually no photos in her zine, which is quarter-size. she writes about many topics- her step-dad's death, her brother's sudden heart condition, a cute punky boy she met once (a 2 day relationship...this part was so cute!) and so on. my favourite one, which i have the zine sitting open at, is called "a good day". the last paragraph is beautiful, it reminds me of all the good days i have and how and why i try to cling to them. you can't fail to empathise with it.
she includes zine reviews which i always love and 50 things about herself. and a short story. and the list is endless so just buy the zine and see for yourself! amazing.
how to order:
